Chocolate Cherry Zucchini Smoothie Bowl

Chocolate Cherry Zucchini Smoothie Bowl

JUMP TO RECIPE

Combining cherries with chocolate has always been a winning idea. As a teenager, I couldn’t resist Ben & Jerry’s “Cherry Garcia” ice cream, which featured cherry pieces and chocolate chunks—a perfect pairing. Do you remember it too?

Even as an adult, I’m still a fan of this delicious combination. That’s why I’ve created a creamy, delightful, and incredibly healthy smoothie bowl using wholesome ingredients. This smoothie bowl is entirely plant-based, loaded with protein, fiber, and nutrients to keep you full and energized.

So, why include zucchini? Alongside avocado, zucchini is a fantastic secret for adding creaminess and thickness to the smoothie without compromising taste. It’s a low-carb squash packed with both soluble and insoluble fiber, which is great for gut health.

To achieve the ideal thickness for your smoothie bowl, both avocado and zucchini are a must. If the consistency is too thin, your tasty toppings will sink right to the bottom!

This recipe is simple—just toss all the ingredients into a blender, blend them up, and then have fun with your toppings. It serves 2 generously or 4 modestly.

And guess what? I don’t miss the Cherry Garcia ice cream at all!

Enjoy!

This looks delicious. Can I swap cacao powder for the protein powder?

Absolutely! If it’s not sweet enough, feel free to add some honey or stevia.

It looks very delicious. Let us know your thoughts!

Hi! Could you share which chocolate protein powder you used or recommend? Thanks!

I’ve been using Manitoba Harvest protein. If you don’t mind pea protein, Genuine Health is also excellent.
