Picnic season is here, which means I’m making more sandwiches (aka sammies) for my family. My husband is a sandwich enthusiast, so I’ve had to step up my game to match his legendary creations. I’m excited to say this sandwich is epic too!
You don’t need fancy or complicated ingredients for an epic sandwich, just high-quality ones—and I’ve nailed that part.
For this sammie, I used Stone Mill Bakehouse bread, a naturally fermented option that serves as a delicious and nourishing base. Here’s why I love Stonemill:
There are no artificial ingredients in the bread (or in my recipe!).
The slaw ingredients really elevate this sandwich, bringing in vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium, fiber, and phytonutrients. I also added pulled chicken for a satisfying boost of protein that helps balance blood sugar.
