Hi Joy, I loved your podcast on rosacea! I agree there isn’t much reliable information out there about managing rosacea. I’ve been dealing with it for over 10 years. Dermatologists would always say it’s genetic with no cure, just use this cream. Last year, I got serious about changing my diet. I cut out dairy, corn, soy, gluten, caffeine, and alcohol. I found that high fat and protein trigger my rosacea, so I only eat meat once a day and try to limit healthy fats. It’s been 8 months, and I feel better than ever. My rosacea is still present but much more manageable. I want to try some supplements you recommended and your skincare as well. Thank you, Joy! Your podcast was really refreshing and insightful.

So informative, thank you. I have eczema and sometimes get hives on my chest and hands. I’m gluten-free, lactose-free, and avoid refined sugar. I’ve been using your skincare line for 2 weeks, and I’m amazed by how hydrated my skin feels now. In this chat, you mentioned using a cleanser and mixing the mist with the serum? I spray the mist before applying the serum. Could you clarify this for me? Also, is it safe to be in the sun with hyaluronic acid in the serum when wearing sunscreen? What’s the best sunscreen for super sensitive skin on my face and chest, where eczema sometimes leads to hives? I recently bought Consonant SPF30 for my face after seeing it in an older blog of yours. I can’t find the link to the products and supplements you talked about. Please advise! Thanks for all you do, from recipes to blogs and the fantastic skincare line.

I’m glad you found it helpful, Leanne! I’m thrilled your skin is feeling hydrated with my skincare line! Here’s an Instagram video on how to use the skincare trio: . Yes, I make an emulsion with the serum and mist; however, if your skin is damp from using the mist, you don’t need to add more mist to the serum if you prefer not to. I love Consonant SPF, but in winter it can make my skin flaky, so I use Coola instead. Here’s my skincare routine post: [post link]. The mist wasn’t included initially since it launched in fall 2021, but the video shows how I use it. I spray the mist a few times daily; I keep one at home and the office! Here’s the supplement link: [supplements link]. All podcast resources are linked in the post above. Hope that helps!

It’s great to hear you’ve identified your triggers and your skin has improved! It seems avoiding certain foods has helped reduce inflammation. Thanks for sharing—your experience might benefit others, and I’m glad you found the episode refreshing and insightful. Wishing you healthy, radiant skin!

Thanks, Joy! I take omega 369. Would you also recommend adding boulardi or borage oil? I am taking calcium, vitamin D, and Imu-gen for sinus allergies. I’m concerned about sun exposure possibly worsening eczema, which sometimes results in chest hives. Is the joyous health serum safe for sun exposure with sunscreen, or should hyaluronic acid be avoided? You’re a joy and a wealth of knowledge; thank you for everything!

Hi again! Hyaluronic acid doesn’t increase sun sensitivity, so there’s no need to worry. It’s highly moisturizing, and you’ll notice improved skin hydration immediately after applying the Hella Hydrating serum. S. Boulardii supports gut health and the immune system, while borage oil aids skin barrier function. I advise working with a naturopath or certified nutritionist to develop a personalized supplement plan for you.

Hi Joy, how do we use the DUTCH test coupon? I thought only certified practitioners could order the test. Should we give them the code? Thanks!

Hi Jennifer! You can order the test and receive the results yourself. Just enter the coupon at checkout. If you need help interpreting the results, I recommend hiring a practitioner skilled in the DUTCH test for an accurate analysis.

Why “manage” rosacea instead of seeking to heal it? “Managing” keeps us in the old mindset of external cures via pharmaceuticals. Healing invites us to embrace our body’s natural ability to heal itself. This shift could liberate us from our current healthcare system’s constraints. Great point! While I can’t change the podcast title now, it’s been live since February. Nevertheless, I discuss natural healing methods at length, so I hope you give it a listen!

I would’ve appreciated a transcript of this; it’s hard to remember all the products. Understandable. For now, every resource mentioned in the podcast is listed at the post’s bottom, including skincare: [skincare link], Pure Radiance Tea: [tea link], and Everyday Detox Tea for healthy skin: [detox tea link]. Hope that helps!

Are transcripts available for your podcasts? Thanks!

Hi Hailey, sorry, we don’t have transcripts at the moment. However, all resources mentioned are linked at the post’s bottom. Hope this helps!

Hello, my name is Manoj Karki from Nepal. I’m unsure if I have rosacea, but dermatologists couldn’t confirm. My nose isn’t red with sunscreen and moisturizer, but it becomes red without them, and its shape is bumpy at the tip. I’m uncertain how to treat it. Any guidance would be deeply appreciated, Ms. Joyous.

Hi Manoj, have you listened to the whole podcast yet? There are lots of helpful tips inside.

Need help with rosacea—it seems HA dries my skin too! Thanks, Joy.

It could be the HA molecule’s size and quality doesn’t benefit your skin. Pairing Rosehip seed oil with HA in our Hella Hydrating Serum can deeply hydrate and moisturize. I’d recommend this combination for rosacea.

Thanks for this wonderful podcast—very informative! Over the last decade, I’ve tried reducing histamines in my diet for rosacea. I’m considering your recommended supplements and intrigued by red light therapy. You mentioned it in episode #102. I’ve thought about IPL but worry it’s too aggressive; red light sounds gentler.

Glad you found the podcast informative. I do think IPL is a bit aggressive. Consider BBL; it’s gentler with no downtime. BBL lasers are less aggressive than IPL and red light. I use a Joov red + infrared light for general benefits; unsure about rosacea-specific benefits. Hope that helps!
