I absolutely love tea! I’ve always been a tea drinker. For a brief period in my early 30s, I indulged in dairy milk-based cappuccinos but soon discovered they were triggering joint pain in my wrist and mouth ulcers—turns out I had a food sensitivity! Even then, I always ended my day with a comforting cup of tea, just as I do now.
Tea, for me, is all about self-care. Taking a moment to unwind with a hot mug of tea is pure bliss. Establishing routines that focus on well-being is essential for a happy and healthy life, and tea is a key part of my evening ritual.
I’d love to hear about your morning and evening rituals in the comments. Feel free to share them with me!
Another part of our evening ritual is storytime with Vienna—it’s delightful now that she’s 8 and often reads to us! In case you’re curious, Vienna loves tea too, and her favorite is peppermint. I chop up some fresh mint leaves and steep them in a warm mug of water for her.
As the weather cools down, I’m drinking even more tea than in the warmer months. I love starting my day with a creamy, comforting latte made with Hello Joyous Rise and Shine tea. Mid-afternoon, I enjoy Detox Everyday or Pure Radiance; Detox Everyday is fantastic for aiding digestion post-meal, thanks to bitter herbs like milk thistle and dandelion. In the evening, I sip TLC before bed, packed with herbs for sleep and relaxation—it’s both caffeine-free and delicious!
I developed this tea because I’ve always loved the combination of turmeric and cinnamon since starting on Golden Lattes. The Rise and Shine Tea is grounding and uplifting, a fantastic way to kick off your day with joy!
All the ingredients in my new tea are organic and handcrafted right here in Toronto! On a chilly day, these ingredients are perfect for warming you up. This tea is ideal for someone who tends to feel cold—it’s spicy, grounding, and absolutely delicious. You can add honey if you like, but it’s naturally sweet enough on its own.
It’s the ultimate way to prepare your turmeric lattes! In the video below, I’ll show you how to make this latte. Quick note: the packaging is our old style. You can use any nut milk—cashew, almond, or hemp milk.
Here’s the delicious recipe for one serving: it’s creamy, spicy, warm, sweet, and comforting—like a warm hug, just as I described in my video! Happy sipping, friends!

According to Health Canada: Ginger, Linden Flower, Rose Hip, Lemon Balm, Orange Peel, Citrus Peel are all safe teas to enjoy while pregnant. However, this is a conservative approach. When I was pregnant, I drank various teas beyond this list. I recommend talking to your natural healthcare provider to determine what’s best for you.
I’ve just made this for the first time this morning. It’s delicious! I can see it becoming a daily ritual.
Happy to hear you love it, Janet! One of my favorite morning rituals too.

I’m savoring this latte right now; it’s very soothing and delicious.
Oh yummy, enjoy, Julie!
I’m typically a morning coffee drinker, but today I woke up with the first signs of a sore throat, so coffee didn’t appeal. I decided to make a Rise…
It seems the rest of your comment didn’t appear. I hope the tea helps—it certainly feels good to have something warm on the throat when you’re sick.
You’re right, Joy; the rest vanished. Still, the Rise…
Any suggestions for more bitter (not sweet) teas? I love green tea in the morning but am seeking something to have throughout the day and evening without caffeine. I’m also allergic to ragweed, so I need to avoid chamomile. Thanks!
For something more bitter, try my “Joyous Detox” tea. It’s a caffeine-free herbal blend that supports detoxification and still tastes good—unlike most detox teas, haha! Here’s the link: https://shopjoyoushealth.com/detox-tea/
I’ve just made myself a pre-dinner Rise…
