I absolutely love a warm and comforting tea latte, whether it’s the Lazy Lady Latte or this one. A key element of a delicious tea latte is using a flavorful milk. My top two non-dairy options are oat milk and coconut milk, which can be homemade or store-bought. If you choose store-bought, I recommend checking out my guide on selecting the best non-dairy milk.
Oat milk is great for lattes and cappuccinos because its neutral taste doesn’t overpower the other flavors. In the fall and winter, I love using the Rise and Shine tea from my collection for lattes because its spices offer a cozy feel. I pay close attention to what goes into my tea, and I’ve shared a list of seven ingredients to avoid.
You must try pairing your tea latte with my Carrot Cake Muffins—they’re incredibly delicious! These muffins are made from the same batter as my Carrot Cake Loaf, just baked in muffin tins. I also experimented with whipped coconut cream from Cha’s Organics on these muffins, and it’s fantastic! It’s just not widely available yet, but it is JOYOUS APPROVED.
If you’re aiming for a great foam, know that oat milk can be inconsistent. I often steam coconut milk for its superior frothing ability, so keep that in mind.
Here’s my recipe for a Maple Oat Milk Latte:

Be sure to enjoy this warm latte with a carrot cake muffin or one of my Carrot Cake Cookies, and feel free to sprinkle some extra spices on top for a fancy touch! I hope you love this latte.
Wait a second, is the recipe supposed to be for a maple latte rather than oat milk? Yes, it should! Sorry for the mix-up. It was corrected, but you might need to clear your cache if you’re still seeing the original post. If that doesn’t work, let me know, and I’ll guide you.
Got it! Can’t wait to try it. Thanks, Joy!
Perfect!
Hi Joy! You mentioned that coconut milk froths better than oat milk. I struggle to get my coconut milk to froth. Do you use it straight from the can or make a batch? I use canned coconut milk without guar gum, blend it with 3-4 cups of filtered water and a date, then pour it into a pitcher. But mine doesn’t froth. What am I doing wrong?
Not every brand froths equally. Non-dairy milk with higher fat content froths better. Try different brands—I find Earth’s Own froths wonderfully. I use coconut milk from a carton for lattes and canned for soups and stews.
I remember spending a lot on hospital treatments for HERPES, but nothing worked until I found an herbal medicine doctor who provided a cure. Herbal medicine is now my go-to for herpes and other health issues. You can reach Dr. Akhere Herbal Home at +2347085994115 or visit his website to learn about his products. Made this morning, and it’s a new favorite! Can’t wait to get my Rise and Shine Tea for more lattes.
Yummy! This looks amazing! Can’t wait to try it. What frother do you use?
I used to have a Nespresso, but I stopped because I disliked the smell. Now I use the milk steamer on my Breville espresso machine, which works great!
